Jesse Ford has more than 20 years of rich experience in hospital and physician group strategy, finance and revenue cycle operations. He is recognized for effectively managing complex situations using cost-efficient methods, as well as creating synergies with technology resources and leveraging the potential of human resources. Jesse is a knowledge expert in integrated healthcare delivery systems in both urban and rural settings, in stand-alone hospitals as well as with statewide and national networks. He has led the revenue cycle for both hospital and physician groups. His personable and transparent demeanor, creative problem-solving and strategic implementation of process improvement have all contributed to his success and to his measurable record of forging positive relationships with clinical and administrative departments, physicians, patients and the community.

Jesse holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business; a Certificate in Healthcare Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy; and a BA with honors from Oberlin College. He is recognized as a Distinguished Speaker by the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Steve Chrapla has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare finance and revenue cycle management. He has expertise in hospital revenue cycle management and consulting; patient access workflow; accounts receivable and operational assessments; project implementation and management; accounts receivable outsourcing; patient accounts system conversions; business office reorganizations; budgeting and cost savings; process improvement; compliance; customer satisfaction; new business development; and contract negotiations. He has held senior leadership positions at nationally known revenue cycle consulting and business process outsourcing firms, as well as being CFO of a 500-bed medical center.

Steve’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Illinois. A Certified Healthcare Financial Professional, Steve is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where he was presented with the Muncie Gold Merit Award. He is also a longstanding member of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management.

Paul Stout has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle services and technology. He began his career with a large healthcare IT firm as a consultant and project manager implementing a full range of revenue cycle technology solutions at provider organizations. He also has extensive operational experience, serving as the business office director for a regional CBO, responsible for managing the revenue cycle operations for three acute care hospitals and six rural health clinics. He has spent the last eight years advising healthcare clients on the purchase and implementation of customized revenue cycle solutions. Paul graduated from Millsaps College with a BS in political science.

Jason Smith has been with Salud for more than five years and has more than a decade of healthcare experience. By coordinating with facility staff, provider relations representatives, as well as management within claims processing and other payer organization teams, he has been instrumental in leading the resolution of large-scale problems within both the provider and payer claims management processes.

Jason began his career within a behavioral health facility working in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a case manager. His role within Salud began as a Solutions Specialist, working to enhance and expand upon the revenue cycle operations of clients with the new managed care organizations resulting from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Jason has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University. He has a background in pharmacy and case management.

Zach Maitzen has a broad technology background covering hardware and software. For the past five years he has been working in the healthcare technology sector. He has worked with a variety of billing and EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, NextGen and HealthQuest. At Salud, Zach heads the team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining computer programs and tools including Salud Synapse, auto-statusing and claim scrubbing. He and his team also perform analysis on the various datasets we use and create reports on that data. Zach is the primary contact for client interfaces including VPN and FTP. He graduated from Purdue University with a BS in computer graphics and a minor in computer technology.
